I just posted the last of the short story classes. Last week, I linked to a previous class I taught years ago as well, since it covered things a bit differently. It really was an interesting series to write, and it has gotten me back on track for short stories as well.

But that is the best that can be said for the last few days. I'm waiting for word on Lady Jane Pudge'ums, my 17 year old cat. It will not be good word -- I already know that much. She did better for one day, and then worse again, and the vet doesn't give any real hope now. She had a good, long life, though, and never had a bad day. That counts for something.

I am working on a rewrite of a science fiction novel and that's going pretty well, all things considered. Draw the Line is going well, too. I'm at the half way point on the novel, I think, and things are starting to move at a faster pace again.

And there, finally, is the news I've dreaded. We have lost our beloved Lady Jane.
